Spendy

I just paid $135 for a bolt to be replaced on my car. A. BOLT. Just one. Why is it that no matter what car problem I have I always feel like I'm being ripped off. Not only that, they just happened to notice while diagnosing my bolt issue that some sort of gasket also needs replaced. That is a bit more pricey at about $700. I said no thanks. I'll wait for the problem to manifest itself. Why don't I have a mechanic in the family????

Too bad you don't live here. Eric can fix anything.

I feel your pain. I still haven't found a good mechanic that I trust.

Unbelievable!! I hate car problems...I feel your pain!! When we got the van, we had to replace the windshield and that was about a month ago, and today I was on the freeway and BAM!! A rock hits the windshield and now there is a BEAUTIFUL crack....not just a mark, a full on crack! And it is already getting larger! What the heck?? I am pretty pissed about it. That will be $135 too! We should start riding the bus Jess....LOL J/K!!!

Maybe you need to encourage others to take up an exciting career in mechaics. John could always make a career change...

Aw Jess, I totally HATE car problems. Back when we had more unreliable cars they totally plagued us. They still do now, but to a lesser degree. I am lucky though, cause hubby can fix anything. It still ends up being a little expensive though. DANG CARS! Why can't they just work all the time without any maintenance!!
