It's crazy to think that last year I was in the hospital at this exact moment and Owen had just been born. Except for the fact that Owen was finally out of me it was quite a miserable day. But I can't think of anyone who actually enjoys labor. So I'm glad that I'm home this year decorating a cake and out buying balloons rather than in the hospital. Plus, today means that we made it through the first year!
So here is Owen's year in review. Born August 8th at approximately 2:30 pm. Weighed 8lb 11 oz. Owen rolled over at 4 months, although he decided it wasn't for him and he rarely did it. Crawled at 8 months and soon discovered how to get into everything. Owen currently has 3 1/2 teeth. I don't know another 1 year old that has that few teeth, except for maybe his sister at that age. His favorite places to play are outside, in Ainsley's room, or in the bathroom (when we forget to close the door). He still hasn't said his first word, but he's not much of a talker. He's a very quite and mellow baby (thank heavens). His favorite foods are bananas, yogurt, and I guess that's pretty much it, it's quite hit and miss with him, one day he likes it one day he doesn't. He loves to play with Ainsley and has typical younger sibling syndrome where he loves to play with her a lot more than she likes to play with him. Owen has taken a few steps but is still what you would call a crawler, especially since he pretty much refuses to walk 90% of the time. So in a nutshell, Owen is great and cute and thank heavens now he's one! Enjoy the pictures. (Party post coming soon.)
